Katin’s foray into the franchise industry commenced at Planet Fitness, where she
developed a proven track record of scaling the premier franchise brand from 700 to over
2,500 locations globally, impacting over 18 million members. Throughout a
decade, she created a comprehensive franchise training and support system and led
her team through a successful IPO in 2016.

Her notable achievements include the creation and launch of Planet Fitness University
(PFU), an award-winning online university that enabled training for tens of thousands of
learners with over 3 million course completions. Under Katin’s leadership, the training
team developed comprehensive programs such as Certified Training Manager, Certified
Training Club, and the competency-based leadership development program LeadDev.
By providing a customizable and flexible solution that met the needs of a diverse
franchisee base, Planet Fitness University achieved 100% training compliance across
the system.

As Vice President of Franchise Operations at Planet Fitness, Katin led a diverse team comprised of Franchise Field Support, Training & Operations Systems, and Member Services.
