TCU
Client overview
The TCU TBRI® Project is a groundbreaking initiative developed in partnership with the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD) at Texas Christian University. This year-long project is dedicated to transforming the landscape of child welfare through Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®). Our mission was to create a comprehensive, engaging, and impactful training program that equips caregivers with the knowledge and tools needed to foster real-world change in the child welfare system.
our approach

training program development
We crafted a 30-hour training program, divided into 10 comprehensive sessions, designed to equip caregivers with trauma-informed strategies and practical tools. Our goal was to make the training both memorable and teachable, ensuring that caregivers could easily apply what they learned to their daily interactions with children.

learning journal
We developed a Learning Journal filled with notes and activities to deepen caregivers’ reflective understanding. This journal serves as a personal guide for caregivers to document their learning journey and apply TBRI® principles in real-world scenarios.

interactive activity cards
To enhance interactive learning, we created activity cards that encourage caregivers to engage with the material actively. These cards are designed to reinforce key concepts and promote hands-on practice.
presentation slides
We developed and designed approximately 800 interactive visual aids for the 10 training sessions. These slides are curated to provide a dynamic and engaging educational experience, helping caregivers grasp complex concepts through visual learning.
resource library
Our comprehensive resource library includes worksheets, activities, ice breakers, journal prompts, and quizzes. These materials are curated to support caregivers in applying lessons practically and consistently, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
training rollout
We assisted in the global rollout making promotional materials for the training program for practitioners and social workers, ensuring that the program reaches a wide audience and has a meaningful impact. Our promotional materials were designed to highlight the benefits of the TBRI® training and encourage widespread adoption.
